Academic Excellence

Marion ISD is focused on academic growth, real-world readiness, and providing opportunities for every student to thrive. The district maintains a 100% graduation rate, with 93% of students meeting College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) standards. Approximately 80% of students participate in dual credit or advanced coursework, gaining valuable college-level experience while still in high school. Each year, students earn more than 136 industry-based certifications, preparing them for success beyond graduation. Marion ISD is proud to hold a “B” accountability rating, reflecting strong academic performance and continued progress.

Programs and Opportunities

Programs & Opportunities

Students at Marion ISD have access to a wide range of programs designed to develop leadership, creativity, and career skills. Opportunities include comprehensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways, robust fine arts programs such as band, choir, art, and theater, as well as athletics and UIL competitions that promote teamwork and school pride. The district also offers Gifted and Talented services, Special Education and Dyslexia support, and Pre-Kindergarten programs that build a strong foundation for learning. In addition, students can participate in a variety of clubs and organizations, all supported by state-of-the-art facilities, including the new High School and CTE building.

Community

Community & Partnerships

Marion ISD values strong relationships with its community and partners in supporting student success. The district works closely with the Marion Education Foundation, along with local businesses and community organizations, to enhance educational opportunities for students and staff. Volunteer involvement across campuses plays an important role in daily operations and special events, while ongoing community engagement programs help strengthen connections between schools, families, and the greater Marion community.
