Greetings Bulldog Parents and Community,
It is my pleasure to join the Marion community and serve you as principal! This is my twentieth year in education with the last 12 years in educational leadership. Prior to becoming principal, I had many leadership experiences including assistant principal and associate principal at Samuel Clemens and East Central High Schools. Even with these amazing experiences, I will always be a teacher at heart. I also have 8 years of classroom teaching experience as an agricultural science teacher and CTE department lead. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Texas Tech University, a Master’s of Education from Texas State University, a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from UTSA, and a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard University. By pursuing lifelong learning, I intend to be an example to students and teachers that we should never stop learning.
I am blessed to be a mother and wife. My son, Brody, is joining me this year as a Bulldog! My stepson, Jake, attends Texas A&M-Kingsville and stepdaughter, Mackenzie, attends UTSA. My husband, Jared, is also an educator and serves as the Head football coach/Athletic Coordinator at Samuel Clemens High School.
It is my privilege to lead Marion High School and the many talented teachers and students here! My goal is to continue to provide a supportive climate and culture that is conducive to teaching and learning. By doing so, each individual student and teacher can experience growth to their highest potential. I look forward to interacting with all stakeholders in our school community this year!
